The hotel is very nice. We had a 1-bedroom suite, which was lovely, and we were lucky enough to have a large rooftop area.

8.6/10 Excellent! (1,003 reviews)
There are hotels that have "shabby chic" and there are hotels that, like this one, are just neglectfully shabby. What a disappointment for the amount of money spent on the room... that there is no real lobby is a structural choice they made, which is sad. That they refuse to turn the coffee station into a bar at night (when the outdoor bar is closed due to weather) is a poor choice, like they don't care about the guests... that they leave a window air-condition in the window when it's cold and have a tape keep the plastic together--and the outside noise and cold air come into the first-floor room, is a choice, as well. The curtains could use rehanging, the towels are so frayed that they tear, and despite claiming it's a "deluxe" room, there is neither light not end-table on one side (and you have to jump over the bed to get to your side of the bed (when coupled).

9.6/10 Exceptional! (1,824 reviews)
The hotel was in a great location, only a few minutes walk from Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. It was a 15 to 20 minute walk to Broadway & the theater district. There were lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly. They knew it was my husband‘s birthday and had a balloon attached to a bag full of goodies for him. This was a very nice surprise and very much appreciated. There were two bottles of water left in our room every day. Our room was very spacious and very clean. Linens were top quality as were the soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

8.4/10 Very good! (7,889 reviews)
"The room was ok however our shower created a pond every time we showered. We advised the cleaning staff but they said they couldn’t do anything. It was a very dark room with no natural light and the lights were so low. The only great thing was we could check in way earlier."

"Excellent stay, wonderful breakfast spread and the amenities were the best I've ever experienced! Loved the $35 daily credit and the free museum tickets and bike rides were the best! Let's not forget the free water each day! Staff were exceptionally kind at the front desk and at the breakfast Cafe. ..."
